Scott, I was working for Bartlett Tree Research at the time. The results
should be published and we are very close to finishing the write up.
It is important to get the nails to just contact the latest growth ring and
with practice you can get adept at this ? you can tell by the change in
resistance and sound when hammering the nails in.
